The Soul Mate Spell part 7

Brianna couldn't wait to get off work.  She had been humming to herself all day.  Concentrating on  work was almost too hard for her to handle.  When 5 o'clock came around, she was ready to go.  With a quick "Bye. See you Monday. " to Dan, she ran out of the office to her car.  She hated Friday afternoon traffic.  She didn't have anything planned for the evening, so she decided to run through a drive through for dinner.  She had some wine at home.  The sooner she got home, the sooner she could spend some time thinking about her special spot and her soul mate.

Brianna had no sooner stepped int her door when her cell phone rang.  "Damn," she thought, "It's probably Mom."  She shuffled through her purse and finally retrieved her phone on the 5th ring.  It wasn't her mother. It was Colin.  Brianna almost dropped the phone, she was so shocked.

"Hello?"  she said, feeling kind of weirded out.

"Hey, Brianna, it's Colin.  I know we haven't spoken in a while, but you've been on my mind a lot lately.  I was wondering if you would like to go out for drinks tonight, say about 8?"

"Well," she hedged, not knowing what to say and feeling very overwhelmed at the same time, "Sure.  Do you want me to meet you somewhere?"

"No, I'll come by and pick you up. I'll see you soon, and Brianna, thank you."  Colin hung up the phone and smiled to himself.  Just thinking of his hot dreams of her had him on edge with excitement.  For some reason, the dreams would pop into his head at the most inopportune times throughout the day.  One moment he would be listening to someone on the phone and the next he could practically feel his hands running all over Brianna's body.  He would jump back to reality and not have any idea what had just been said.  He finally had to quit answering calls for the day and let them role over to voice mail.  He felt as if he was going mad.  He couldn't chalk this up to raging hormones, because he hadn't had raging hormones in years.  He couldn't even remember ever having such vivid thoughts about any woman in his past.  He had decided to leave the office early  and go home to take a very cold shower.  It hadn't worked any better than the one he had taken in the morning.  He had it bad, and he knew it. During his shower, he figured out what he needed to do.  After drying off, he reached for the phone.  It was good to be the boss, he thought, as he made his plans.

Brianna spent the next hour getting ready.  She was extremely nervous.  Colin had called her.  He wanted to take her out for drinks.  This was just too surreal for words.  She was so hyped up with adrenaline, she was ready long before he arrived.  Briana wasn't one to pace, but she was afraid she might be creating a path in the middle of her living room floor.  When Colin knocked on her door, she screamed.

"Are you alright?" Colin asked when she opened the door.

"Yes, you just startled me."  she felt completely foolish.  "Would you like to come in?"

"No, let's get going.  I have a nice place in mind.  I hope you haven't had dinner yet.  I know I said drinks, but I know of a new restaurant in town.  It looks very interesting.  I thought we could try it out."

"Sure, that sounds great."  Briana didn't mention that she had eaten when she left work.  What he didn't know...

They drove in silence for a few minutes.  Brianna, who was twiddling her thumbs unconsciously, wondered where they were heading.  They were headed to an area of town she didn't know well.  She had been in the area only once before, and she had actually been lost at the time.  Colin wasn't saying anything, so she just tried to keep her curiosity to herself.  After twenty minutes or so, they pulled up to a lovely, quaint bed and breakfast.  It looked like a place out of a Hollywood movie.  Even if she had come here before, she doubted she would have ever gone inside the place. To rich for her blood, but maybe not for Colin.

Colin drove up to the valet, who opened Brianna's door with a flourish.  "Welcome to Belmont Grove.  We are glad you've come."

As Colin arranged parking with the valet, Briana stood and stared at the entrance to the b&b.  It had an old Southern charm, like the Antebellum homes she had always loved.  There was just something very romantic about a large porch with white Doric columns.  A few couples were reclining in rocking chairs sipping cocktails and talking softly.  Brianna watched as one couple kissed and then looked lovingly into each other's eyes.  She sighed wistfully.  It reminded her of that night at the bar with Jan as she watched the couple who could not stop staring at each other and how she wished that could be her and Colin.  "Well, maybe tonight."

Colin came up behind her and lightly put his hand upon her lower back to guide her towards the front doors. Brianna squeaked.  She felt as if she had just been struck by a large bolt of electricity. "Silly." she thought. She must have imagined that. Things like that never happened to her.

Putting out his arm, Colin escorted her into the building.  They had a lovely dinner and enjoyed their conversation.  It wasn't about anything too dramatic, just the small talk of two people getting to know each other.

"I know I didn't ask you if you would want to spend the weekend here with me, but would you?" Colin asked, his eyes twinkling. He quickly added, "I have reserved two rooms.  This bed and breakfast is one of my new ventures in town.  I have the entire place for the weekend.  Only you, me and the staff.  I know I'm throwing this on you suddenly, but I have even taken the liberty of supplying a weekend wardrobe for you.  What do you think? Please, don't say no.  I would like to spend a few days with you alone. Please......."  he begged as he smiled the sweetest smile she had ever seen.  It made her heart do a funny flip and seem to fall to her feet.

Brianna opened her mouth to say no, but yes came out instead.  She didn't know where that came from.  It was almost as if her mouth had a mind of its own.

"You won't regret this, I promise."  Colin said.  Brianna wasn't so sure.

After the restaurant closed for the evening, the other guests left for their own homes.  The b&b, which was still in the renovation process, hadn't officially opened to overnight guests so Colin and Brianna had the place all to themselves.

They walked around the gardens on the right side of the building.  Colin reached for Brianna's hand.  She didn't take it away. He felt good just touching her. He didn't want to make her think he had any other plans for the weekend.  And, actually he didn't.  Just being with her was all he needed.  He was willing to take his time.

Around midnight, Colin saw Brianna stifle a yawn.  He walked with her to her room and told her he had the one next door, if she needed him.  He then bent and softly touched his lips to hers.  The shock of his kiss was enough to make her knees weak.  He felt her legs give way, and gently helped her to stand.  He then opened her door and bid her goodnight.

Brianna stood in her doorway and watched him walk to his room.  She blinked a few times, and then said, "Good night , Colin.  Thank you for a wonderful evening."  He smiled and walked into his room.

Brianna shut her door and then fell against it.  She couldn't believe this was happening.  Something was very strange, but it was also very exciting.  She didn't think she could sleep, so she decided to take a hot bath to relax.  She walked into her bathroom and ran the tub faucet.  It was the biggest bathroom she had ever seen.  The tub was very deep with jets and air bubbles that tickled as they ran across her skin.  She closed her eyes and let the water soothe her mind.

The following morning, Colin came to her room.  When she answered the door, he was standing in his bathing suit and a t-shirt. "Come swimming with me .  We can have breakfast brought out to us at the pool.  It's  indoors, but looks like a tropical oasis.  I can't wait to show it to you.  You have a bathing suit with your clothes."

Brianna, who had dressed in a pretty slip dress for the morning was already aware of the "bathing suit," if one could call a tiny, black string bikini a "bathing suit."  She considered saying no, but once again yes came out instead.  She asked him to wait on her sofa as she went into her bedroom to change into the tiny black thing. She hoped he would like it.  She wasn't very confident in full piece suits, and she never wore bikinis.  Well, this was his weekend.  She put it on.  It fit, but she gulped at her reflection.  She put the dress on as a cover up and went out to see Colin.  He rose, offered his arm, and they walked down to the pool.

Colin lead her into the hallway adjoining the pool to the main lobby.  Brianna could hear water splashing in the distance.  When they walked into the room, she couldn't believe her eyes.  In front of her was a pool with a waterfall at one end.  The room was indoors, but the sky was visible above through clear glass.  The day was cool, but not cold, and the hotel had the windows open letting in fresh air.  The sun, which shone through the glass was making the pool sparkle.  Colin walked to one of the chairs and placed his things on it. He then proceeded to remove his shirt.  Brianna caught her breath.  She knew he was well formed, but she hadn't expected such a beautiful chest and abs.  She quickly looked away before he could catch her ogling him.

"Come on, Brianna, let's go for a swim." He then dove into the deep end of the pool, closest to the waterfall.  Brianna stood watching him for a moment, then she decided to be brave and remove her dress.  As she lifted the dress over her head, Colin came up for air.  He practically choked water as he watched her lift the dress over her hips, above her breasts and then over her head.  Colin felt like a young boy watching his first "R" rated film.  Man, she was lovely.

Brianna didn't feel like swimming so she headed to the side of the pool opposite the waterfall.  The sun was shining in that spot, which was just perfect for her.  She walked towards the seats there, but as she approached she couldn't believe her eyes.  The chairs hid a large rock, like the one she had created in her vision.  She halted and shook her head.  Things were really getting strange.  She wasn't sure what to do at first, but she decided to just let things be.  Somehow she knew something beyond her control was happening.  She took a chance and sat on the rock.  It was warm from the sunlight shining down through the glass ceiling.  Tropical plants lined the pool creating a magical oasis.  Lulled by the splashing of the pool and the warm rock, Brianna relaxed and watched as Colin swam across the pool to her.

Brianna was so relaxed, she began to daydream.  She pictured herself naked on the rock, waiting for her soul mate to appear.  Colin, seeing her on the rock, got out of the pool.  He could see that her eyes were closed and she was breathing very slowly.  Thinking her asleep, he went to sit beside her on the rock.  Thinking he might need to hold her in case she fell into the water, he began to touch her arm.

"Ummmm," she mubbled.  "That feels so good."  Brianna thought she was dreaming.

Colin, taking her reaction as a reason to touch her again, moved his hands up her arms to her shoulders.  He could smell her shampoo, which was a heady, floral fragrance.  He lifted her hair and kissed her neck.  Brianna jumped and turned toward him.  Colin softly touched his lips to her neck again and swirled his tongue across her skin.  He then brought his lips to hers and began to kiss her.  It was a quiet kiss, but as she leaned into him, he found himself wanting more.  He started to kiss her very deeply and ran his hands over her body.

Leaning back into Colin, Brianna found herself lying on the rock with him above her.  Just as it was in her dreams.  Something had changed.  She could see it in his eyes.  It was magical, this feeling.  Her senses were wide awake.  It was as if his soul was touching her everywhere his body touched her. And she wanted more.  She wanted all of him.

Somewhere in the back of Colin's mind, he felt as if he had been here before, touching Brianna.  He wanted her, needed her.  Here in this magical place, two souls met for the first time, and yet they seemed to be melded together. Two halves of one whole that had been seeking each other for centuries, maybe longer.  They were one.

Brianna took in a deep breath.  She looked deeply into her soul mate's eyes.  Something deep down told her things were as they should be.  This was more than a spell.  No spell could produce this kind of magic.  Colin wasn't here because of a spell.  He was here because of her.
